The Library of Things free to borrow!

Do you sometimes wish you could just borrow some DIY equipment? Or a printer? Lawnmower or even camping equipment?

New to Leeds is the Library of Things. Based in the Headingley Methodist Church, just off Otley Road on Chapel Street, the community group lends out things instead of books. Essentially things that people use infrequently but would normally have to buy and store and by borrowing you can save money, space in your home and reduce waste by people donating rather than throwing away. A real win-win all round

Having looked through their thorough inventory, we have listed just some of the 500+ items available to Leeds students to borrow for free including;

  • Airbeds
  • Ladders
  • An ice cream maker
  • Lawn mowers
  • Tents
  • A sewing machine
  • Laminators
  • Printers
  • Gazebos
  • A metal detector
  • Vacuum cleaners
  • Power tools
  • Board games
  • Fancy dress items
